Friday night, the Rhinos participated in a small pep rally at
RYBA. To start us off, Joseph and Victor got the tempo going and brought a little
Puerto Rico baseball culture to the
Rockdale Rhinos!
First part of a pep rally is to get the coaches on center stage. Coach
Buz started off with one of our favorite baseball cheers- My name is
Buz and you know what I got.....
Coach Jeff, Terry and Mini participated in a marshmallow contest to see who could say Go
Rockdale Rhinos with the most marshmallows in their mouth. Terry was laughing too hard to continue. Mini made an executive decision to excuse herself before she threw up and Jeff took the crown! Jeff will move on to another competition in June and compete against other teams parents!
Moving forward,
Buz picked the activity of having to catch for the boys- barehanded. We couldn't take the chance of him getting hurt, so we replaced the baseballs with water balloons! The balloons that did not pop became
Buz's to go after the boys with!

Coach Sam put his hat on backwards and rapped his favorite baseball cheer!
For the finale and the unlucky coach that picked the 'get a pie in your face' balloon, Coach Brett had to be apprehended by Sam and Jeff while Dylan waited for the perfect time to get his dad! The boys were unable to contain their excitement leading up to this. Great job

Due to the huge success of the Rockdale Rhinos, in adding a TONY to their team this year, USSSA is recommending that all teams add a TONY starting in 2012. This position is a 'jack of all trades' type position and can only be occupied by someone with a big mouth, big ego, bookkeeping/ managing and scheduling skills. This person needs to be comfortable walking around in unmatching plaid shorts and a solid blue shirt. Please refer to USSSA for more information on how to find a TONY for your team.
